Խումբը հիմնադրվել է 1996 թ․ Փարիզի ազգային կոնսերվատորիայի շրջանավարտների կողմից՝ կարճ ժամանակ անց դառնալով մեր ժամանակի ամենաառաջադեմ և հաջողակ երաժշտական անսամբլներից մեկը։
Քառյակի երկացանկում հիմնականում 20-րդ դարի և ժամանակակից կոմպոզիտորների ստեղծագործություններ են։
Երաժշտական քննադատները նշում են, որ անգամ դասական հանրածանոթ գործերն այս քառյակի կատարմամբ հնչում և ընկալվում են նորովի։

QUATUOR DIOTIMA
The world-renowned Diotima String Quartet will perform a unique concert in Yerevan.
Founded in 1996 by graduates of the Paris National Conservatory, the quartet quickly established itself as one of the most innovative and successful musical ensembles of our time. Their repertoire primarily features works by 20th-century and contemporary composers. Music critics note that even well-known classical pieces are performed and perceived in a fresh, new way by this quartet.
